We really don't have a standard date format in Canada. Just like the whole imperial/metric thing the format to use is whatever one you feel like and it's assumed that whoever you are communicating with will be able to figure it out. One day I might write the date as Dec. 25 2006, another day it might be 12/25/2006 and the next it might be 25/12/2006. Or even 2006-12-25! :o) Sometimes a form will be specific about the format, and that's the only time when I make an effort to write the date in any particular way.
Must admit to doing the same writing say 25 Dec 2006 rather than just numerical if not specified.
Aj your display looks grand!
I am a Canadian living in the US. I've always put down the month first ... either as Dec or as 12. Then the day, then the year. Here in the US it seems to be the same. The rest of the world seems to do day, month, year. My parents are German, I've worked with both English and South African people and they did it that way.
